How to join a RedM server
Live data · last refresh 21 Oct 2026, 08:44 UTC · numbers update every 10 minutes from the public Cfx.re server list
RedM is the community multiplayer mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, run by Cfx.re. Joining a server takes a few minutes. Right now 3,248 players are on 328 active RedM servers.
1. What you need
- Red Dead Redemption 2 installed on PC. RedM runs on top of your own copy of the game [Cfx support].
- A Windows PC that can run RDR2 — RedM itself is a free download.
2. Install RedM
- Go to the official site, redm.net, and choose Download client. Only download from the official site.
- Accept the terms ("Sure, I agree!") and run
RedM.exe. If you run the installer from a folder with fewer than 3 files, RedM installs there; otherwise it installs in your Downloads folder [Cfx support].
3. Find a server and connect
Option A — in-game browser: open RedM, choose Browse Servers, pick a server to see its description, players, locale and access requirements, then select Connect [Cfx support].
Option B — join link: every server page on RPLookout has a Join button with the server's cfx.re/join/… link. You can also press F8 in RedM to open the console and type connect cfx.re/join/abc123 (with the server's code) [Cfx docs].
4. Check the rules first
Every server is run by its own community and has its own rules and requirements [Cfx support]. Allowlisted servers need an application first — see how applying works — while open servers let you in straight away.
Busy English servers you can join without an application

How we got these numbers
Everything on this page is computed from the public Cfx.re server list (the same list the in-game browser uses), which RPLookout reads every 10 minutes. "Players" means players online at the last refresh; "7-day avg" is the average of our 10-minute samples over the last 7 days (it starts from when we first saw a server); "7-day peak" is the highest sample. Language comes from each server's own locale setting, allowlist status from its sv_appearAllowlisted flag or a "whitelist" tag, and frameworks are detected from tags and the server's public resource list. RedM/FiveM "RP" lists include servers tagged roleplay or running a known roleplay framework. "Best" here means most played — we don't review gameplay. Rankings are never for sale; promoted slots elsewhere on the site are labelled Sponsored and never appear in these tables.
RPLookout is an independent fan site and is not affiliated with, approved, sponsored or endorsed by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive or Cfx.re.
